Braces or Clear Aligners? How to Choose

Two Paths to the Same Destination

Traditional braces and clear aligners can both achieve excellent results — the right choice usually comes down to your specific bite, your lifestyle, and how involved you want to be in your own treatment day-to-day.

What Traditional Braces Do Well

Braces are fixed to your teeth for the full duration of treatment, which makes them highly effective for more complex bite corrections and doesn't rely on patient compliance — you can't forget to wear them, because they're never removed.

What Clear Aligners Do Well

Aligners are removable, nearly invisible, and let you eat and clean your teeth without any extra hardware to navigate around. The tradeoff is that they require discipline — results depend on wearing them 20 to 22 hours a day, consistently.

How We Help You Decide

During a consultation, Dr. Yashvi Shah reviews your bite, your alignment goals, and your daily routine to recommend whichever option will actually get you the best result — not just whichever is trendier. For many mild-to-moderate cases, aligners are a great fit; for more complex corrections, braces sometimes remain the more predictable choice.
